    Study School on Quality Assurance: University of Parma and University of Barcelona
    The Study School is held in Parma, from June 13 to June 16, 2011 and is based on presentations by professors from Italy and Spain and autonomous learning and group works by participants using the online resources
    Aim
    The purpose of the Study School is to understand the issues involved in Quality Assurance (QA) of LIS education and analyse the Bologna Process (BP) suggested ways of enhancing education quality with a focus on Italy and Spain
    Objectives
    At the end of the Study School week, the participants are expected:
  • to know the Bologna Process procedures for Quality Assurance (QA) as applied to LIS education in Italy and Spain
  • to understand the indicators, the different approaches of stakeholders, the procedures of QA in LIS education
  • to analyse the issues of quality of LIS education and recognition of qualifications
  • to prepare a project of QA for a LIS course

  • Methodology
    Case studies about QA, as it is currently done in Italy and Spain
    Focus Groups about QA and recognition of qualifications
    Preparation of a Project of quality evaluation of a LIS programme
